Using the NEMO Administration Client
NEMO requires a certain amount of configuration at start up to function properly. Some of this bootstrapping can be easily handled by the NEMO Administration Client. In addition, various maintenance tasks can be handled.
Starting Up
On start up, the main window and login window appear. The user will be required to enter a valid username and password to authenticate.

Subjects and Operators
There are two main types of people identified in a NEMO experiment. A subject is a participant in the experiment and an operator is an authenticated user who controls the NEMO software during the run of an experiment. Operators can also be subjects and participate in the experiments. An operator privileged operator can create subjects as well as perform additional higher level tasks, such as uploading configuration files and creating new experiment types.
Managing Subjects and Operators
Clicking on the person icon reveals a table of subjects and operators together in one list

IRB
Experiment protocols involving humans are reviewed by an Institutional Review Board. Once the experiment has passed all safety and ethics guidelines, an IRB document is issued allowing the principal investigator to commence the experiment. This IRB document expires after a year, at which time the experiment protocols are reviewed to ensure that the experiment continues to run under current guidelines. Each experiment run with NEMO is associated with the IRB document, using the IRB number. The IRB number, name and expiration dates are registered using the NEMO Administration Client
